Baked Apples

6 apples
raisins
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Core the apples and peel the very top.

Fill the hole with raisins.
In a small saucepan, heat the water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until boiling. Pour the sauce over the apples. Bake at 350 for one hour, basting now and then. If you'd like, serve with a bit of cream.
